WFCM Scouting for Food Volunteer Event

Groups, families, and students age 14+ are all invited to help sort food donations and load crates onto trucks as part of the Boy Scout "Scouting for Food" Drive to benefit Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM)'s Client Choice Food Pantries.

Scouting for Food in the Sully District, organized by the Sully District Boy Scouts, is being held on Saturday November 4th this year. The weekend prior to the 4th, the Scouts leave notes/bags on porches asking neighbors to donate food/toiletries to WFCM. On the 4th, the local Scouts pick up food donated by our neighbors. Our neighbors have donated 50,000+ lbs. during this one-day large scale food collection and it requires a number of volunteers at the Boy Scout sort site. Strong arms and backs are needed. Available shifts include:

Site set-up:  Friday, November 3 from 5:30 - 8:00 pm

Food sorting and crating: Saturday, November 4 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm; 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, and 1:00 - 4:00 pm
